I have no idea what you're leaning through (they look like tree limbs or rusty pipes?), but props on finding quite possibly the most perfect area for an SH photoshoot! And the way she's reaching out is such a sad action... I can imagine Harry is just off to the side, running toward her as she cries for him. Also, I don't think I've ever seen anyone cosplay as Young Cheryl before, so this is pretty cool (everyone usually just goes as Heather). :] Who better to use to capture the horror os SH1 than Cheryl (and she looks wonderful as Cheryl as well)?
it's actually an art sculpture made out of random pipes and chains. if you're interested, it's located in grant park in chicago. the shot was taken around 10PM with the use of 1 strobe light with soft box.
At the shoot we had a young cheryl and what cheryl would look like if she was older. I was actually hoping for a nurse, but then it was mighty cold. maybe if i fly out to chicago i'll shoot this again in warmer weather. ^_^
A strobe light? That's a clever way to work light, for SH photos especially. Well, it's a beautifully creepy sculpture (I wonder what inspired the artist to make it? Closet SH fan maybe? XD). More shots would be nifty, and you might actually be able to shoot this location during the day, giving a false sense of security... It'd still be creepy.
that's very possible, but i was only in chicago for a short time visiting family. of course i'd spend time shooting cosplay. hahaha.
but you can make shots during the day look like it's at night by under-exposing or powering up a strobe to the point that it overpowers sunlight by alot.
This is by far the best shot, in my opinion! It feels real to me. Like, I can feel, how she feels, you know. Wonderful expression. Wonderful setting. Great lighting.
I wonder, where you had taken this fantastaic shot mate?
this shot was taken at grant park in chicago. they have this art installation and that's all the piping chains and whatnot you see. i just told the girl to crawl in there and model.

glad you liked it though.

Keep up the good work!
